Hello, Miami? Frank Martin On Line One

I was originally going to post how Head Basketball Coach Mike Anderson literally shook down his employer Missouri a few days back, apparently enticing the school to agree to what he wanted to stay at Mizzou…but then departed to Arkansas anyway after Razorback Nation likely pushed more chips to the center of the table.  (With Anderson’s history at UA, it was silly for Missouri to think otherwise…but kudos to Mike and his agent for making them feel otherwise)

However…in the rapid-fire, cross-fire that is “silly season” for basketball coaching vacancies at major universities, here comes Kansas State’s Frank Martin…after Missouri stunned everyone on Earth and selected Miami’s Frank Haith for Anderson’s vacant position.

Many felt Haith’s days were numbered at the “U.”  Many were wrong.  His hire caused more head-scratching than Missouri thinking they could keep Anderson from Arkansas in the first place…and folks in the Show-Me state are now asking “show me why we should have faith in Haith?”

Seems as though Martin now wants to let all know while he is perfectly happy at Kansas State…and hasn’t heard from anyone who wants him to be otherwise…he would always listen to other offers.  He also wants to make sure Miami knows his true compensation in case that’s a reason they have not blown up his phone yet.

Let me be frank, Frank.  Call Miami and ask for the job, for heaven’s sake.
