Frank Martin And Miami – Closer To The U

I suggested in an earlier post Kansas State Basketball HC Frank Martin call “The U” and ask to discuss their coaching vacancy.  It’s obvious he wants to talk.

The AP’s Tim Reynolds reported Frank will be taking his talents to South Florida this weekend to attend the Miami High Hall Of Fame dinner.

Frank does not need a phone at this point as he will be on the ground and can storm the entrance to UM’s campus if need be.  He’s a fabulous coach and could make Hurricane basketball immediately relevant on a much larger scale than…ever.

The last time it was relevant the pictured device was.

I’m old enough to remember Miami football rattling around the Orange Bowl on the “friends and family plan” and getting disconnected by everyone.  That all changed.

This hire would be a similar program-changer.  Filled seats.  Games in prime-time all the time.  Recruits falling all over each other to get ‘Caned.

Frank wants to talk.  Why doesn’t “The U” want to listen?

I have heard others mention him for the post. Miami should be a contender. The city produces strong talent.

  2. Lowdogg, this simply has to get done. The U already made a great selection taking Al Golden to lead the football program…my local Temple Owls’ loss is the Hurricanes’ gain but Temple wasn’t gonna hold Golden forever anyway. Positioned to make their basketball program relevant…Miami needs to step up to the plate and make Martin an offer.
